Programme

Most of our events are now Day Tasks in the wider London area and limited to where we able to help out with NT Rangers on a weekend. Normal working hours for a Day Task are usually 9:00 – 16:00. You do not need to be a member to come along to volunteer.

We will try to continue with weekends away but unfortunately the number of locations we can stay at or visit is very limited, as a result of the NT stopping Working Holidays and closing the basecamps. However we are doing our best to keep our name known and keep volunteering to carry out vital conservation work for the NT.

Next year (2025) we will be trialling extending the weekends and Bank Holidays to leave on the Monday (or Tuesday) morning. Depending on numbers wanting to do this there may be a small additional cost, and for those travelling on public transport there may not be a lift available to station until after work on Sunday afternoon or the next day. So when booking please indicate whether staying on or not.

Where a location is in a different colour this is a link to the NT website for that location or if a weekend away to Bunkhouse/Basecamp with details and directions. There may be changes throughout the year, and where known we will update the work sites or tasks, but note these may change due to weather or other jobs taking priority. Please click here to send an email to the Bookings Officer with event number (if listed) and location or location and date, your contact details (preferably a phone number).

The events listed below can be booked using both event number and location. See bottom of page for booking procedure. Note that this year we have raised the cost of weekends away for the first time in several years to reflect increased food costs.

We have almost completed next year’s calendar and events for the most of the year have been added below with the rest to follow soon. For week long events you may be able to attend for some of the time but priority will be given to those staying all week.

If numbers are low on an event please consider coming along to support us, and the work we do for the National Trust. If we have to cancel due to low numbers it may affect future bookings at that location.

They will pass on your details to the leaders. Don’t forget to transfer the money if required. Members please see the latest email on events for details of how to transfer payment to bank account, pleaase ensure you use event number(s) as a reference.

Otherwise print off the booking form (should be able to complete online before printing) and send it with a cheque or postal order to the Bookings Officer at the address given on the form.
